Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God,
As we begin a New Year it’s not the first time around the sun for most of us. We have seen many years come and go. As for me 47 of them have passed. I’ve wasted some of them making promises (resolutions) I don’t keep a week. As I’ve gotten older I have stopped making them. Let’s be honest I’m. It going to eat right. I’m not going to exercise.
As I look back on the past year I’m so thankful for all God has done. I’ve seen him do great things for the PCOG. But even greater I’ve seen him do great things in the lives of so many individuals in our church. Many are headed into a New Year closer to God than they have ever been.
What do we do with the momentum? We stir it up! We go deeper! We chase after God harder and with more fervor. That’s what Renew the Fire 24 is all about. Thank God for the fire but give us more. I have Desire to see every individual, every family filled with the Holy Ghost.
Pastor that’s a crazy goal! I know it is and when God started dealing with me I told him the exact same thing. (He didn’t change his mind).
I’m convinced that God wants to take us deeper than we have ever been. And show us things we have never seen before. There will be test and trials. The enemy will try to stop us. But I’m determined and I want you to be determined that a little fire isn’t enough for us! Stir it up this year Lord! Renew the fire 2024
