Tomorrow is Election Day and there has been more “buzz” concerning this election than any in the history of our nation. Either outcome will likely produce discord and even violence. All you have to do is turn on the tv or get on social media for a few minutes to sense the nervousness in our country.
That’s really been the theme of 2020 hasn’t it? Nervousness, fear, worry, and certainty. The frightening thing for us is the not knowing. Not knowing what tomorrow, the next day or even next week holds.
I have no idea what the outcome of the election will be. I don’t know when things will return to normal or if they ever will. I can't tell you the moment COVID-19 will be a thing of the past, but here’s what I do know—- God knows!
He hasn’t been pacing the golden streets of Heaven hoping Christians get out and vote tomorrow. He hasn’t been wringing his hands in worry about what to do about Coronavirus. He’s already there! He’s already been there!
The Bible calls him Jehovah Jira. The God who goes ahead of us and provides! The good news in a world full of bad news is no matter what tomorrow holds he holds tomorrow!
